Kiyo Takamine

Biography
At the series' start, Kiyo is an ordinary 14-year old junior high school student who happens to have an IQ over 190. Before junior high school, he had a normal intellect, and played with other children. However, later, when he devolped it, his friends were jelous of him, and his intelligence makes him a target for teasing and harassment, who his only friend was Suzy Mizuno (Suzune Mizuno, Suzune Mizuno). Due to this bullying, and to his own arrogance, Kiyo develops an introverted and apathetic demeanor, to the point where he skips school on a regular basis. During this time, he usauly visited the Botanic Garden.
However, his entire lifestyle changes when he receives a rather unusual birthday present given by his father, Seitaro Takamine - a mamodo kid named Zatch Bell and a mysterious red spellbook. His father, acknowledgeing Kiyo's behavior from the letters from his mother, Hana Takamine, he sends Zatch to train Kiyo, and in return, find out where Zatch came from (Zatch suffered from am, and to help him find his way home Together, they fight in the battle to decide the mamodo king and are the main characters throughout most of the storyline.
At first, Kiyo is reluctant to do as his father asked, however he does have a keen intrest in the mysterious red spellbook. Unknown to Zatch, who is following him to school, Kiyo is able to read a word: zaker (zakeru), but he cannot decypher the rest. Kiyo was about to leave school whe Zatch confronts and scolds him for being unfriendly to Suzy. It is at that moment that we first see Kiyo's "demon face," that intimadates Zatch. Kiyo later runs outside with Zatch

At the end of the manga, only ten mamodo children and their human partners remain. One of the most powerful is Clear Note. Resulting in many sacrifices, Kiyo and Zatch defeat Clear Note; only Brago and his partner, Sherry, are left in the King Festival. Kiyo and Sherry decide to wait three month before fighting, as of Kiyo's graduation, and Kiyo wants Zatch to be there, as he was. The fight is brutal, resulting both Brago and Zatch injured. Kiyo and Zatch defeat Sherry and Brago and win the title of the Mamodo King at the King Festival. The red book then opens by itself and reads the Will of the Mamodo World, bestowing the Title of Mamodo King upon Zatch and Kiyo. Kiyo is given two choices:
A.
- Zatch forever remembers Kiyo.
- Kiyo loses all of his memories of Zatch.
- Kiyo gets a wish to his heart's content.
B.
- Kiyo forever remembers Zatch.
- Zatch keeps all of his memories of Kiyo.
Kiyo choses choice B. Three weeks later Kiyo gets a letter from Zatch, (the other mamodos send letters to their partners) that tells him of the peace of the Mamodo world.
